Dear Mr. President:
You led this nation into nearly eight years of night. The United States has fallen out of favor around the world and even among her own people. The economy is in shambles, our brothers and sisters are dying in a pointless war, our environment is wasting away, and our educational and health systems are some of the poorest in the industrialized world. Is this the legacy you intended? What did you see yourself accomplishing when you took office? Did you set out to divide and disappoint the very people you were meant to unite and inspire? I hope not. I hope that this mess was all a big mistake on your part. I hope you can find some way to atone for all the damage that you've done. And I can't wait for this nation to enter the new dawn that approaches.
