The successes of President Bush:

1. Protected the nation from further terrorist attacks after 911.

No more attacks have happened in our states, no. Attacks on embassies and military bases have increased dramatically, not to mention a HUGE increase in global terrorism caused by Bush's idiotic stirring of the hornet's nest.

2. Removed the Taliban government from power in 2001.

TEMPORARILY removed them from power. They've been rebuilding and becoming increasingly strong in Afghanistan again, and many Afghanis are turning to them again as the source of authority in the country.

3. Removed the government of Saddam Hussein from power in 2003

Despite the fact that Hussein had nothing to do with 9/11 and had no way of threatening us, in the first unprovoked, offensive war in U.S. history.

3. Removed Charles Taylor from power in 2003.

I have no idea who that is.

4. Enacted tax cuts in 2001 that ended the Clinton recession that began when the dot.com bubble burst and 911 damaged the US economy.

Bush inherited a huge budget surplus from Clinton. The slight recession caused by the bursting of the Dot Com bubble only greatly effected those who'd come into wealth through the internet, and they hadn't been rich long enough to suffer under Clinton's tax laws.

5. Ended the stalemate with China over a spy plane shot down. Got the plane and the pilots back to the US with diplomacy.

Yay? There is so very many things that make this a total non-issue. Do you really think we could have gone to war with China over this?

6. Diplomatically obtained the end of Libya's chemical weapons program.

Okay, sure. There's one.

7. Diplomatically ended the genocidal policies of Bashir in Southern Sudan which had killed more than 2 million people during the 1990s.

Sure, no one else helped at all.

8. Nominated and saw to confirmation chief justice John Roberts.

A vocally conservative justice who can't even do an inauguration oath corrected.

9. Nominated and saw to confirmation justice Samuel Alito.

A vocally conservative justice who's young enough that he'll be promoting his agenda for as long as the next two and a half decades.

10. Signed into law sweeping educational reform known as No Child Left Behind requiring public schools to disclose for the first time the quality and results of their educational practices to parents.

No Child Left Behind is one of his GREATEST failures. Ask any teacher, or any student. Mentioning this as a positive is unbelievable; this program's idiotic push towards standardized testing AND basing a school's funding on it has cost millions of young Americans significant portions of their education, which have instead been focused on passing a arbitrary damned multiple choice test.

11. Signed a ban on partial birth abortion.

Or rather, expounded on one Clinton had already signed.

12. Signed a ban on federal funding of research using fetal stem cells.

An idiotic, idealogically-founded move that may well be costing lives as we speak.

13. Pressed for the surge in Iraq in 2007 that lead to the defeat of Al Qaeda in Iraq.

Who wouldn't have been there in the first place if A) we had had a plan to stabilize Iraq from the beginning, or B) we hadn't invaded Iraq in the first place.

14. Killed Al Qaeda mastermind Musab Al Zarqawi in Iraq.

While Osama Bin Laden remains free.

15. Solidified and increased the American diplomatic and economic relationship with India-- the world's second largest country.

At the cost of rising tensions between India and Pakistan.

16. Diplomatically contained North Korea with six party talks agreed upon by Japan, the United States, South Korea, Russia, and China.

Talks headed by Japan and China, who actually had a stake in the matter; Kim Jong Il is a long way from having missile that could hit the U.S.

17. Won re-election in 2004 despite the ascendancy of a profoundly partisan and biased press that actively campaigned for the opposing candidate.

Swift Boat Veterans for Truth. Wolves in the trees. He ran a campaign based on fear and terror, and frightened just enough Americans into voting him legitimately into office for the first time.

18. Won repeated legal and congressional battles aimed at limiting America's successful conduct of the war on terror.

The PATRIOT Act?! Really? THAT'S an accomplishment?! Restricting our civil rights, illegally wiretapping our phones...these are things that make him a GOOD president?!

19. Lead more than 60 nations in cooperative anti terrorism initiatives such as naval interdictions of illegal weapons trade.

20. Lead more than 32 nations in combat roles regarding Afghanistan, Iraq, Liberia, Somalia, and the Phillipines.

21. Lead the world to closer alignment with his goals in various foreign capitals including: France, South Korea, Australia, Britain, Germany, Italy and Poland.

His blind, bullheaded stubborness eventually prevailed against these nations' attempts to reach him with rational discourse, and to accomplish any of the shared goals of fighting terrorism and restricting international drug trade, they were forced to humor him like a bratty child.

22. Secured more than four democratic elections in Afghanistan and Iraq and a Constitution.

The jurisdiction of which do not reach large, large swaths of either country.

23. Defeated the ABM treaty with Russia and implemented further improvements to American missile defense at home and abroad.

ANOTHER thing that should NEVER be called an accomplishment, his stubborn blocking of this international treaty has added to our nation's contribution to global warming.

Riding high on a wave of misguided patriotism sparked by a terrorist attack he allowed through inactivity and guided by a cynical political strategy team that manipulated Americans' feelings of goodwill and unity towards their ends.

26. Diplomatically resolved major tensions between India and Pakistan during 2002 and 2003.

A permanent fix, as you can tell from the news.

27. Oversaw the advance of democracy in numerous nations including: Afghanistan, Iraq, Liberia, Georgia, Lebanon and Ukraine.

This is too vague. "Advanced" democracy? What does this even mean? If it means these other nations were "advanced" the same way Afghanistan and Iraq were, I pity their people.

28. Prevented the erasure of the Jewish state of Israel from the map of the world by the radical shia terror state of Iran.

Yes, because Israel has shown themselves to be completely defenseless without us. Their world-famous air force is just for show, and the nuclear stockpile they use to dissuade enemies? Not really all that great.

29. Conducted his administration with professionalism and grace.

Pfft HA!

30 Killed or detained hundreds of major Al Qaeda operatives responsible for the 911 attacks on the United States.

And killed or detained hundreds of thousands of innocent people of Middle Eastern descent who were not. Plus, um. Psst. Osama?

32. Implemented housing policies which reduced homelessness by 30%.

And allowed financial policies that INCREASE homelessness every day.

33. Reversed the Mexico city policy promoting abortion globally.

Which cut many young women off from medical support while beyond our borders.

34. Supported and coordinated Ethiopia's military defeat of radical Islamists in Somalia.

"Coordinated?" He sent advisors. THEY coordinated.

35. Supported and coordinated Philippine's military defeat of radical Islamists in the south of the island.

Ditto.

You know what he DID accomplish, that wasn't on your list? He helped AIDS victims in Africa. Yes, it turns out he does have some slight streak of humanity in him. You want to trumpet his accomplishments? That's it. That's his accomplishment. That's all he's got.

Well, okay. He didn't choke on the pretzel.

If you're really proud of Bush's record, add to it that his stupid war in Iraq has inflamed the entire Muslim community (worldwide), that he spies on US citizens (nationwide), that he's responsible for the death of 1 million Iraqis (that's 1/24th of their population) and the exile of 2 million refugees ( a 1/12th of their population) externally, and 1 million refugees internally (another 1/24th of their populaton), an aggressive war (a Geneva Convention War Crime, what we hung Japanese and German Nazies for) and that his little group of chuckleheads outed a covert CIA agent and the cover organization that she used. Add to this how he screwed over the people of New Orleans, either by incompetance or deliberation, and you've got the most slack-jawed president I have ever heard of since Herbert Hoover. And Bush didn't remove anyone from anywhere, except Brownie from FEMA, and Bush didn't actually get rid of him, the little chucklehead resigned.

Additionally, Bush has established a practice of knee-jerk secrecy that has got anybody wondering, what's he hiding?
