Thanks for all you have done

I want to thank you so much for your strength, leadership, fearlessness and patriotism. You had many challenges during your Presidency and you handled all of them with poise, professionalism, compassion and determination. I am truly sorry for those who demean your terms in office, they have been misinformed and can't see what the next four years will bring. I am truly frightened for our country now that an inexperienced liberal is in the leadership role. We needed someone in office that holds integrity and morals as sacred and someone who follows the word of God.

Hold your head high, you deserve much better than you have been given. There are many of us out there who are very proud to have called you our President and I wish you and your family much happiness and success in the future.

"I want to thank you so much for your strength, leadership, fearlessness and patriotism. You had many challenges during your Presidency and you handled all of them with poise, professionalism, compassion and determination."

He did? When? Really? Poise? I don't think he even knows what that means. Professionalism? He took more vacation time than the last four Presidents combined. Compassion? Like he showed to the folks stranded after Katrina, or all the "collateral damage" of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan? Determination? Okay, you've got me there. Granted, I'd call it "thickheaded stubborness," but that's semantics.

"I am truly sorry for those who demean your terms in office, they have been misinformed..."

Ah, irony.

"I am truly frightened for our country now that an inexperienced liberal is in the leadership role. We needed someone in office that holds integrity and morals as sacred and someone who follows the word of God."

And this just...man. I don't even know what to say. Everything else those two sentences is just filler, except for one word: liberal. THAT'S the only legitimate statement. Obama has decades of experience working with governments, local, state, and federal. Bush came into office with a lot of experience at failure in business. Obama's a devout Christian who gives charity to those in need and treats those around him with integrity and humility. Bush lies so much that he seems to have almost convinced himself of them. But liberal? Sure, Obama's liberal. If that's what gets your panties in a wad, then so be it. Of course, I'm betting that the only reason that word frightens you so is that you've been conditioned over the last eight years to fear and hate it; you don't know what it actually means, or what liberals stand for.

It's true that you can't get mad at ignorance, but I think it's perfectly fair to get mad at (and about) the lies and alternate realities that ex-President Bush and his administration have been spinning out for eight years, and especially those over the last month. So I'm not mad at you, but I am mad at those who've rewritten history and convinced you that this is how things really happened.

Anyway, what's with all the brainless pro-Bush letters lately? Did some neocon site find this place and decide to launch a campaign?

no Obama is inexperienced and truthfully I'm frightened for our country too...he called for a "civilian paramilitary security force" which reminds me of who? OH! I know! HITLER!! : D
