Tanks for the Memories

Dear Dubya:

Now that you're gone, I would like to express my extreme gratitude for leaving Americans with an extra 4 trillion dollars of debt your administration racked up over the past 8 years. You managed to wipe out my father's nest egg for retirement and made it impossible for me to find employment. Thank you for also leveling the playing field where more of the rich are now down here with us lowly citizens because they too lost so much money.

Leaving Americans with a 10 billion dollar per month bill to fund the Iraq war will also continue to help all taxpayers. In that way, we can at least feel like we have something in common with one other, the upper and lower class, because you have wiped out the middle class. Thanks for bringing us, the lower class, one class away from being rich.

While you are basking in your new digs in Texas, remember us in your memoirs, because we don't want rely on paleontologists and anthropologists reporting of their findings of fossilized bones of a civilization once called the Middle Class.

Sincerely,
Michael Velardo
